tempo is built to be as privacy-respecting as a web game can be. We do not require accounts, we do not ask for your email, and we do not store personal information.

what we collect

When you create or join a share-room, we store the display name you type, your tapped BPM per clip, and your accuracy score. This data is linked to the room ID, not to you as a person. We do not track you across sessions.

We use Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free, privacy-first analytics service, to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.

The site displays advertising via Google AdSense on the reveal screen. AdSense may set cookies and use device identifiers. You can learn more and opt out at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

what we do not collect

• Your real name, email, or phone number
• Your location beyond general country-level aggregates
• Your IP address (stored by Plausible only as a hashed identifier, discarded daily)
• Tracking cookies set by us

data deletion

Because we do not link data to identifiable people, we cannot "delete your data" on request. If you want a specific room or score removed, email us with the room URL and we will remove it manually.
